Senior Pastor – Ben Crowdis

Salvation and Ministry Testimony

I committed my life to Christ when I was nine years old at Damascus Baptist Church near Cuthbert, GA.  I was ordained as a Pastor by Enterprise Baptist Church at Damascus Baptist Church in 2012. As Senior Pastor I am the Christ led shepherd of the flock, responsible for providing spiritual and emotional guidance and support to the church body.  I am responsible, with guidance from the Holy Spirit, in preaching and accurately interpreting the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching the principles of the Word of God.

Family

My wife’s name is Kimberly Joy Crowdis and we have been married since 2005.  She is an elementary school teacher and we have two children named Kenzie and Collin.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health from the University of West Georgia in 2005,
  • Currently working on my Masters of Divinity in Leadership at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Work and Ministry Experience

Before I accepted the call to full time ministry I spent six years teaching and coaching in the Calhoun County School System. Kim and I also spent a year in Green Cove Springs, Florida as the girl’s home parents at Seamark Ranch. I began working at Cuthbert First Baptist Church in the Spring of 2012 as the Part-Time Youth Pastor. On June 9th, 2013, I accepted the role of Senior Pastor at Cuthbert First Baptist Church.

Some Shared Things About Me

  • My perfect day would be fishing with my wife or family and spending the whole day together.
  • The best thing someone has said to me is to never ask someone to do something that you are not willing to do yourself.
  • My hero would have to be my Dad. His life is a definition of commitment to Christ, to church, to family and to teaching.
  • Most people would not know that I cook awesome Salmon Croquets!
